J. Cole Got His Honda Civic Fixed at Virginia Auto Service in Phoenix

Sometimes an ordinary day at the repair shop turns into something no one expects.

That happened at Virginia Auto Service in Phoenix in February 2026, when J. Cole brought his Honda Civic in for repairs and ended up filming part of a music video right inside the shop.

Cole was traveling as part of his “Trunk Sale” tour, which tied into the release of his album The Fall-Off. The concept brought him back to his early days, when he connected directly with fans and sold music from the trunk of a Honda Civic. While making his way through Arizona, the Civic ran into trouble and needed professional attention.

That brought the car to Virginia Auto Service.

Instead of letting the breakdown derail the experience, Cole and his team made the most of the situation. While the Honda was being repaired, the shop became an impromptu filming location for “Old Dog,” featuring fellow North Carolina artist Petey Pablo.
